GoSumsel — Kesenjangan vaksinasi masih menjadi pembahasan di sejumlah negara bahkan hal itu menjadi opik yang disampaikan Presiden Indonesia (RI) Joko Widodo (Jokowi) pada KTT ke-13 ASEM (Asia Europe Meeting) tanggal 25-26 November 2021.
Menteri Luar Negeri (Menlu) Retno Marsudi mengatakan 64,99% populasi negara kaya telah menerima 1 dosis vaksin, sedangkan negara miskin baru 6,48%.
“Dalam keadaan seperti ini diperkirakan hampir 80 negara tidak akan dapat mencapai target vaksinasi 40% populasinya di akhir tahun 2021,” kata Retno
Menlu berujar, Presiden Jokowi menegaskan pentingnya memastikan semua negara dapat mencapai target vaksinasi yang dicanangkan WHO.
Hal ini dapat dilakukan antara lain dengan realisasi komitmen dose[1]sharing segera, peningkatan produksi vaksin global, dan penguatan kapasitas penyerapan negara penerima vaksin.
Untuk jangka panjang, Presiden RI mengajak mitra ASEM untuk memperkuat tata kelola dan arsitektur kesehatan global.
Termasuk melalui traktat pandemi dan mekanisme baru pembiayaan kesehatan bagi negara berkembang.
“Isu penguatan arsitektur kesehatan global ini juga akan jadi agenda utama Presidensi Indonesia di G20 pada 2022,” ujar Menlu Retno.
ASEM merupakan forum “jembatan” yang menghubungkan Asia dan Eropa.
Anggota ASEM mencakup 65% perekonomian dunia dan 55% perdagangan dunia, dimana 11 dari 20 anggota G20 adalah anggota ASEM.
Sementara itu, Direktur Jenderal Organisasi Kesehatan Dunia (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus mengatakan bahwa “skandal” kesenjangan vaksin Covid-19 di level global harus segera dihentikan. Pernyataan Tedros merupakan respons atas laporan terbaru dari Voice of America (VOA) terkait distribusi vaksin global yang tidak merata.
Jumat lalu, Tedros mengatakan bahwa saat ini ada banyak negara yang memberikan vaksin penguat (booster) atau dosis ketiga. Angka pemberiannya enam kali lebih banyak ketimbang vaksin dosis pertama dan kedua di negara-negara berpenghasilan rendah.
Selain itu, Tedros juga mengatakan bahwa negara-negara dengan cakupan vaksinasi tertinggi “terus menumpuk pasokan vaksin,” sementara “negara-negara miskin hanya bisa menunggu.”
“Ini adalah sebuah skandal yang harus dihentikan sekarang juga,” tutur Tedros.
COVAX, skema berbagi yang diinisiasi WHO, dapat membantu mengatasi kesenjangan vaksin global.
“Namun COVAX membutuhkan setidaknya 550 juta vaksin Covid-19 untuk mencapai target memvaksinasi 40 persen masyarakat dari semua negara di dunia pada akhir 2021,” ungkap Tedros.
Menurut, Ketua DPR, Puan Maharani, mendorong pemerintah mempercepat dan melakukan pemerataan pemberian vaksin Covid-19 pada masyarakat agar tidak terjadi kesenjangan vaksinasi.
“Kita perlu bergotong royong untuk memastikan bahwa jangan sampai ada kesenjangan vaksinasi. Kita tidak bisa sehat sendiri, lingkungan kita juga harus sehat,” kata dia.
Hal itu dikatakan Puan saat mengunjungi Sentra Vaksinasi yang diselenggarakan Himpunan Pengusaha Muda Indonesia (HIPMI) dan Maming Enam Sembilan Group di Pasar Ikan Modern Muara Baru, Jakarta Utara.
Ia mengaku merasakan semangat gotong royong di sentra vaksin yang akan melayani 7.500 peserta vaksinasi selama 3 hari, dengan para peserta antara lain terdiri dari nelayan, anak-anak, tunawisma dan difabel.
Ia juga menekankan pentingnya percepatan vaksinasi anak di atas 12 tahun, terlebih yang sudah mulai uji coba untuk Pembelajaran Tatap Muka.
“Kita ingin memastikan bahwa anak-anak kita bisa bersekolah dengan aman dan sehat. Itu artinya tidak bisa hanya satu atau dua anak saja di satu sekolah yang sudah divaksinasi,” ujarnya.
Ia mengatakan selain vaksinasi, disiplin protokol kesehatan juga perlu digencarkan oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat. Menurut dia, vaksinasi saja tidak cukup, apalagi dengan kecepatan mutasi Covid-19 dengan berbagai variannya.
Puan juga bicara khusus soal pentingnya percepatan vaksinasi anak di atas 12 tahun, terlebih mereka sudah mulai ujicoba untuk Pembelajaran tatap muka (PTM).
“Kita ingin memastikan bahwa anak-anak kita bisa bersekolah dengan aman dan sehat. Itu artinya tidak bisa hanya satu atau dua anak saja di satu sekolah yang sudah divaksinasi,” kata Puan.
Mantan Menko PMK mengatakan selain vaksinasi, disiplin protokol kesehatan juga perlu digencarkan oleh seluruh lapisan masyarakat. Sebab, vaksinasi saja tidak cukup. Apalagi dengan kecepatan mutasi Virus Corona dengan berbagai variannya.
“Ibarat perlombaan lari kita ini sedang maraton melawan Covid-19 bukan lari sprint 100 meter,” kata Puan.
Soal protokol kesehatan, Puan juga berharap pengusaha-pengusaha muda di HIPMI turut menjadikan hal tersebut sebagai bagian dari company culture atau budaya perusahaan di kantor atau pabrik masing-masing.
